CONGRATULATIONS ON AN OUTSTANDING SYMPOSIUM!

What a powerful and impactful day!

A heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS to Sis. Sandra Johnson, Bro. Curtis Grey, and the entire First Baptist Church North Indianapolis Prison Ministry for hosting such a meaningful and thought-provoking symposium! Your dedication to ministry, restoration, justice, and community transformation is truly commendable!

I was honored to serve on a panel alongside passionate and impactful leaders representing diverse areas of service within our community. Each perspective brought wisdom, insight, and a shared commitment to making a difference.

A special thank-you to our phenomenal moderator, Min. Kenneth Allen, who skillfully guided us through “Difficult but Necessary Conversations.” And indeed, these conversations ARE necessary! We cannot heal what we refuse to acknowledge, and we cannot change what we are unwilling to confront.

I am especially grateful for my Pastor, Dr. Ivan Douglas Hicks, whose visionary leadership continues to champion initiatives that move the Church beyond its walls and into meaningful, transformational community engagement. Thank you, Pastor, for demonstrating that faith must not only be preached—it must be lived!

As we continue confronting sexual abuse, advocating for survivors, strengthening families, and protecting the vulnerable, may we remember that lasting transformation requires more than conversation. It requires compassion, courage, collaboration, and ACTION!

TOGETHER, we CAN create a world where #NotOneMore person experiences sexual abuse!

And together, we WILL continue working toward that vision—one courageous conversation, one protected child, one supported survivor, and one transformed community at a time!
